Trentino porphyry cubes are outdoor paving elements produced by mechanical splitting, used in squares, streets, villages, driveways, sidewalks, courtyards, and private settings.
Porphyry pavers are cubic paving elements produced by mechanical splitting. The top surface has a natural quarry finish, without excessive roughness, to ensure comfortable walking. The four sides are split and may not be perpendicular to one another. Paving with these cubes is ideal for squares and streets with heavy traffic, in urban centers and villages. These cubes are highly valued in Italy and abroad, including for private residences, courtyards, driveways, and sidewalks. There are two main types of cubes:
Square porphyry cubes are used to make outdoor and indoor paving in parallel rows. The alignment of the rows of cubes can be: orthogonal, parallel, herringbone or at various angles to an axis or buildings. It is also possible to form geometries such as squares, rectangles, trapezoids and other regular figures. In recent years they are widely used by interior designers and architects both with natural surface and with flamed, brushed or polished top. Porphyry paved interiors in combination with wood, glass and steel result in refined and sophisticated designs.
In laying squared top cubes, the joints can be narrower than in laying standard cubes. The latter having different sides between are used in all arched or circled installation. It turns out in fact, much easier to create the designs with arches having different sizes and sides. Sealing of joints can be done in different ways depending on the needs of customers or the context in which the flooring is located.
